Curious about modern hand embroidery but don't know how or where to start?
Then you're in the right place, because we have created Going knots for you!
It's an embroidery library that allows you to explore a modern approach to the ancient hand embroidery medium.
Going knots gives you:
✅ Beginner's course to the 5 embroidery stitches you need for modern architectural embroidery
✅ Embroidery stitch sampler as a downloadable PDF so that you can stitch along the beginner's course
✅ Tutorial that introduces you to different material and transfer options
✅ 2 additional free patterns so that you can put your stitches to practise
✅ Downloadable factsheet with FAQs about embroidery on clothes
Join today and get instant access to this free pattern of Rue Galande in Paris (you find it under the curriculum section)
Your second free pattern quite literally embodies the relaxation of stitching (you find it under the curriculum section)

Your teachers: Charles and Elin
We are a French/Swedish married artist couple who are on a mission to spread the joy and relaxation of creating with your hands.
Since 2016 we've grown a collective audience of 450k+ spread across Instagram (@petronella.art & @_charleshenry_), Pinterest and YouTube.
We've also had the chance to work with companies such as Hermès, and had the great privilege to teach 5000+ students our take on modern hand embroidery via Charles and Elin Academy.
In September 2020 we published our first book “Mindful Embroidery" with Page Street Publishing.
