How may times have you told yourself "I will do it later", only to realise that later never comes?
This makes me think of the movie "Annie", especially when she sings:
"Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you tomorrow, You're always a day away".
Tomorrow embodies endless opportunities and potential, which is what is so exciting about tomorrow. But it's what you do today that will impact those opportunities of tomorrow...
Imagine what would happen if you stopped to say "later" or "tomorrow" and instead say: "Now"
Of course, in reality it can be difficult to do everything NOW because we all have obligations.
But there are always small things that you can do right now, which will already move the needle forward.
And if you keep doing small things "now", before you know it you have already achieved great things before "later" arrives.
One thing that you can do right now
Let's imagine you have a goal to get more creative and spend more time doing art with embroidery.
You may not be able to pick up your materials this very second due to xyz reasons.
BUT, something that you CAN do right now is to join the Creative Challenge, which will ensure accountability for your creative goals.
Hold Yourself Accountable
To have external accountability is the most efficient way to get things done.
To join the Creative Challenge on Charles and Elin Academy today, means that you say YES to your creativity and invite us to hold you accountable to your commitment.
Each workshop serves as an independent challenge that invites you to explore your creativity and try new things.
So all you got to do is show up, which means...
✅ In 5 weeks (or maybe 5 days?!) you will have established a new creative habit, which will make the next project MUCH EASIER to take on
✅ You will feel more energetic, because you dedicated 1 hour per week to your creative well-being
✅ Your head will be full of new creative inputs and ideas that are ready to come to fruition
Frequently asked questions
Q: Is there a specific class project?
No. There is not a single class project .
Instead, each workshop will come with a specific topic/exercise that can be worked on during 1 hour OR used as a springboard for further exploration in case you get hooked and want to spend more time on it (just warning you that it's addictive haha).
Q: I am new to embroidery can I still join?
Each session is designed to boost your creativity, which means that you are able to adapt the exercise to your own level and experience.
Furthermore, the techniques will always be shown and explained in the beginning of each video, so that you feel confident and ready to take on the challenge of the week.
Q: What materials do I need?
Whatever you have at home!
Creativity is not dependent on having a specific fabric or floss color. Instead it's how you creatively use what you have available.
The exercises will give you experience on translating an exercise and technique to the material you have available, which in turn enhances your creativity too.
