This 6 part creative challenge is designed for you to HAVE FUN and kickstart your creativity with needle and threads. Perfect for anyone feeling in a creative rut or excited to try on a new medium.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or seasoned stitcher, the workshops will help you unlock the possibilities of what you can do with hand embroidery as a modern art form.
Empowering stitch prompts
As opposed to set course projects, these workshops are developed as independent art prompts, designed for you to feel empowered and encouraged to experiment and TAKE ACTION.
In the image you can see my take on the first stitch-prompt "Rounded shapes", featuring inspiration from the kitchen, followed by the addition of watercolour in the 6th workshop "Mixed media alteration".
The goal is to inspire action, because no art is better than the art that gets done!
You do not need specific materials, rather source your home for what you've already got lying around
(think: scissors, any fabric, previous half-done projects, floss, needle).
